[Bug 684146] [NEW] Please make selected items look like in other Gnome apps
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Most Gnome apps (for example EOG and Evince) show selected items in the same way, represented as shown in the attached screenshot. Nautilus is the one that shows them differently, a way that in my opinion is not as aesthetically pleasant as the default. [Bug 669874] [NEW] Use the CTRL / SHIFT keys to do a wallpaper slideshow
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center Gnome-appearance-properties obviously can perform beautiful wallpaper slideshows, but it's hard for the user to take advantage of that nice feature, often having to resort to third-party solutions (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/07/crebs-slideshow-generator-gets-new- features-but-requires-a-little-something-in-return%E2%80%A6/). [Bug 361370] Re: Link isn't created
I might have just discovered something relevant. As you know, when you change a note's title the text in links pointing to it change. If I have the sentence Thomas Jefferson wrote the American [L]Declaration of Independence[/L], where the text between [L][/L] points to another note: 1 - If I change the note's title to the Declaration of Independence, the original sentence would change too: Thomas Jefferson wrote the American [L]the Declaration of Independence[/L], where an additional the has been added. 2 - If instead I remove the word American, the link disappears: Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. 3 - However, if I remove the word American AND then I change the note's title to the Declaration of Independence, the original sentence reads: Thomas Jefferson wrote [L]the Declaration of Independence[/L] That is: instead of adding an additional the, Tomboy recognises the article that was already there and adds it to the link. [Bug 362783] [NEW] fist double-click does nothing, second opens eog but not image

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem I'm using ubuntu jaunty, and it seems that dragging from inside totem's window to a folder no longer links the video file, but copies it instead. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero Before ubuntu ditched serpentine in favour of brasero, it was dead easy to make an audio cd. When you inserted a blank cd you got a dialogue asking you whether you wanted to create a data or audio cd. Now you only get the option to open the folder, open the cd creator (incidentally, both options do the same), use another application or do nothing. An easy option to make an audio cd isn't even there, and I consider that a regression. Please, add two options to this menu: create audio disk, which would launch brasero -a and create video disk, which would launch brasero -o. This would simplify things a whole lot for newcomers. ** Affects: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Make it easier to burn an audio / video disk https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/344413 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 344431] [NEW] cd / dvd creator appears in the apps menu, not in places
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero I'm using brasero 2.26.0 on jaunty, which seems to have added a cd / dvd creator menu entry: brasero (2.26.0-0ubuntu1) jaunty; urgency=low * New upstream release (LP: #343468) - Fixed #573790 - Make brasero nautilus extension show in system menu. - Renamed nautilus extension to CD/DVD Creator to avoid any regression. I guess this fix means to replicate in jaunty the previous experience in intrepid, where you had a places → CD/DVD creator launcher. But by placing it in apps → system tools → CD/DVD creator we not only fail to do so, but also clutter the menus. Please move the menu entry back to places. ** Affects: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- cd / dvd creator appears in the apps menu, not in places https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/344431 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 344431] Re: cd / dvd creator appears in the apps menu, not in places
I'm quoting my message in the thread you pointed me to: I really don't understand this change: -Almost all items under the places menu (save for search and recent files open nautilus windows. -All items under the apps menu open their own apps, not nautilus windows. There already is a menu entry that opens a burning app, that is brasero. How does it make more sense to place a menu entry which opens a nautilus window under apps, and not places? Moreover, what use is it to clutter the apps menu with two burning apps: brasero and NCB? As I see it the CD/DVD creator is a place, not an app. And as such, it should go under the places menu. Ubuntu has sometimes moved apps from their original upstream locations, in order not to show the system tools menu. Couldn't we do the same this time, when it makes so much sense? -- cd / dvd creator appears in the apps menu, not in places https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/344431 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 343581] [NEW] use fade animation for the volume applet
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel Jaunty sports a new volume applet.
