[Bug 1577198] Re: Imported gpg keys do not show up in Seahorse 3.18.0
The same bug can still be observed with seahorse 3.32.1-5-g1dd5b4d6 in Manjaro 4.19.45-1 x86_64 and Xfce 4.13 by the way. The above mentioned workaround to import GPG public keys with: gpg2 --import Multiple_Keys.asc seems to work. However seahorse likes to crash when I then try to change the owner trust of the imported GPG public keys. I have to try this also in Ubuntu 18.04, however I don't think it makes any difference. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to seahorse in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577198 Title: Imported gpg keys do not show up in Seahorse 3.18.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/seahorse/+bug/1577198/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1824699] Re: gnome-calendar pango critical
I can confirm this bug. Same problem here with Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS (Kernel 4.18.0-18-generic #19~18.04.1-Ubuntu SMP). gnome-calendar crashes after entering a city in the calendar weather plugin for the first time: (gnome-calendar:12200): GcalWeatherSettings-WARNING **: 11:22:20.176: Unknown location 'Düsseldorf' selected Speicherzugriffsfehler (Speicherabzug geschrieben) gnome-calendar: Installiert: 3.28.2-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 The above mentioned workaround by Oliver Ritter seems to work to get the calendar started again: I removed "Düsseldorf" from: org.gnome.calendar weather-settings (true, false, 'Düsseldorf', nothing) and voila. Just for fun I tried to enter a city name in the weather plugin of the calendar again. [Bug 1010349] Re: Evolution address book inaccessible without killing one time "e-addressbook-factory"
I can also confirm the problem with Evolution not being able to show the Google address book (contacts) right from the start. The workaround of killing the /usr/lib/evolution/e-addressbook-factory while Evolution is running works. However this cannot be a permanent solution! I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS x86_64 with Linux 3.2.0-37-generic # 58-Ubuntu SMP and Evolution 3.2.3-0ubuntu6. [Bug 959276] Re: Scrolling message in preview breaks rendering
I can definitively confirm this problem with the rendering problem of the message preview pane in evolution: No message preview content at all when selecting an email - or an old message is displayed or visual glitches like described above. Long multipart and HTML messages seem to trigger it in a reproducable way. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 64-Bit with kernel 3.2.0-32-generic # 51-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 26 21:33:09 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux and evolution 3.2.3-0ubuntu6. Unity (3D) with compiz and NVIDIA most recent drivers. The workaround of starting evolution with LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 evolution WORKS FINE for me, too! So it really looks like the Unity overlay scrollbars are a BIG problem for evolution that should be fixed. [Bug 553423] Re: Untranslated string in Brasero's indicator menu, albeit it's translated in Launchpad
I just tested it in Maverick (fully updated) and with a German localization. While burning a DVD with Brasero, the indicator menu of Brasero showed up fully translated – for the burn process as well as for the verify process. Please see the attached screenshot. However, you'll notice that the message ist so freakin' dark, that it can hardly be read. [Bug 391578] Re: Evolution does not mark IMAP mail read until exit
This affects me too. - Linux 2.6.35-24-generic Nr.42-Ubuntu - Ubuntu 10.10, 64-Bit - Evolution 2.30.3 I'm using an IMAP email account. The IMAP server tends to create quite long timeouts and Evolution randomly seems to loose the connection. Maybe that is what causes my emails to magically appear unread though I explicitly marked them as read – multiple times. It's annoying. Could Evolution be more patient please with slow IMAP servers so my IMAP folders stay synched! - Other email clients can handle this. Thanks for taking care of this issue (that was discovered in 2005 first, I think – but it is not really solved yet). I've just changed this Nautilus string No. 1382 from: »Nautilus kann diese Art von Orten nicht verwendet werden.« To: »Die Datei oder der Ordner ist nicht vorhanden. Bitte überprüfen Sie den Pfad.« And I »reviewed« it by myself. The link provided in my comment No. 4 will not work any more. This is the new link [1] to find it in the translations. If nobody complains about this new string that I put in and reviewed by myself, I will send an email upstream to notify the GNOME translators [2] about that after a few days. [Bug 654079] Re: [Lucid] Nautilus popup text uses wrong grammar
Hi Sam, I can confirm that the German translation for this string has a grammar issue and needs to be fixed. Additionally the message is fuzzy. This dialog obviously appears if the user tries to open a location that does not exist and if the location that was entered has no colon in it. I checked this string number 1382 in the Nautilus source package [1] for Maverick and made a suggestion for a better translation, see below: English: »Nautilus cannot handle this kind of location.« Current German translation: »Nautilus kann diese Art von Orten nicht verwendet werden.« My current suggestion: »Dieser Ort existiert nicht oder kann nicht verwendet werden.« Would be a good idea to have it reviewed by at least someone else from the translation team. Then we can proceed. [Bug 400485] Re: Empathy sounds not in default ubuntu theme
Hi! This bug affects me too and is annoying! The bug still exists in the current Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Beta. Given the fact that Empathy is the new horse to bet on (installed by default) and Empathy doesn't even have the possibility to be configured in a way that received messages make a window pop up, this »no-sound-by-default- bug« makes it even worse! The only way to be informed about new messages waiting in Empathy is the message indicator icon in the Gnome panel on the top. That icon didn't even have some color in the default theme shipped with Ubuntu up to 10.04 Lucid – but was simply colored »in another gray« (but I may remember wrongly). Now – with 10.10 Maverick beta and that theme currently shipped by default – the icon switches to a green colored one, indicating new messages (in Empathy) at last. Please think about it … Thank You and Regards, Dennis Baudys PS: I nominated this bug for being fixed (a good .oga file copied to the correct location and renamed to .ogg or what else – maybe even a fix for, or some default sound shipped with Empathy?) for the Maverick release. -- Empathy sounds not in default ubuntu theme https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/400485 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
