I didn't have any luck with running the games from the terminal neither by using the name on its own, nor by the use of the full path. The results where the same. Although it was much more easy to shut down the not starting games, by closing the terminal and eventually killing the process. When I tried to shut down the games after executing them through the gui it took much more time, bringing my computer to it's knees..
