[Bug 1506744] Re: Newly installed applications do not show in the dash
Just got the same problem in Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS, after updating the system. [Bug 120258] Re: Laptop Battery Time Remaining Outrageously Inaccurate
Does this post show some hint for this bug: http://forum.eeeuser.com/index.php?/topic/81732-battery-measurements- are-wrong-eeepc-900-ubuntu-1004/page__view__findpost__p__710079 ? Quote: This is a problem with the way the battery reports its charging state. The ubuntu applet (and the rest of the system, down to the kernel) expects the charge to be reported in mAh but instead the battery itself reports a percentage. If you look at state and info in /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/, you'll find that a fully charged battery reports a charge of 100 mAh ... with a (reported) design capacity of 5200 mAh this works out to 1.9 %. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120258 Title: Laptop Battery Time Remaining Outrageously Inaccurate To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-power/+bug/120258/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Gary, should this bug be reassigned to kernel people? [Bug 554877] Re: gimps crashes in file open dialog
ttf-sil-andika ttf-sil-doulos crashed nautilus, metacity on 10.04. I installed qimo-games, and the fonts were installed with it, and after that I was unable to sign in to gnome or xfce. Strace nautilus showed that the last file open before segfault was ttf-sil-doulos, so I removed both and things restored. -- gimps crashes in file open dialog https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/554877 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 368836] Re: gnome-panel freezes upon launching custom launchers
Also happened to me. I enabled assistive technologies some time ago, because I wanted a magnifier (is there a standalone magnifier in Gnome?). Switching them off also solved the problem (I had to relogin, but maybe I was not lucky enough). A nasty bug, critical for people who do not know how to switch to VTx and killall gnome-panel. -- gnome-panel freezes upon launching custom launchers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/368836 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
