Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vinagre Remote Desktop Viewer (Vinagre) 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala While trying to connect to a VNC server, the password field on the Authentication is required screen cannot accept more than 8 characters. A Windows Real VNC client can accept up to 9 characters on the password (I have not tested more).
