[Bug 962277] [NEW] When switching from processor tab to laptop battery, sub-tab is unexpected
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. click on battery icon, open up the statistics manager 2. Make sure you start out in the AC Adapter tab 3. Click Laptop Battery Tab 4. Observe that the selected sub-tab is Details 5. Click the Processor Tab 6. Click Laptop Battery Tab 7. Observe that the selected sub-tab is Statistics This is odd, it is neither the last sub-tab i was on, nor is it the default sub-tab. Most likely you would expect it to be the last sub-tab visited. [Bug 959780] Re: Password should be encrypted in gnome keyring
I'm sorry for the confusion, i misinterpreted the way Canonical had set up Ubuntu One, they don't actually store passwords, they use OAuth tokens and SSO, thereby storing a private token on your computer. Again, i apologize for the mistake, and am marking this as an invalid bug. ** Changed in: empathy (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/959780 Title: Password should be encrypted in gnome keyring To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/959780/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 959780] [NEW] Password should be encrypted in gnome keyring
Public bug reported: Currently Empathy stores the passwords for your account in plain text inside gnome key-ring. This approach is safer than others however if someone has physical access to your computer, and can find a way to log in to your account, they have access to your key-ring. Now suppose you have a Google talk account, your password for that is the same for all of your Google accounts, including emails. I'm sure you can see where this is going from here. Canoncial thinks it's a good idea to encrypt what they store in there, why should empathy be any lesser? ** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/959780 Title: Password should be encrypted in gnome keyring To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/959780/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 876290] Re: Ctrl+Alt+Del mapped to log out dialogue
This may not be so much a shortcut bug, as a bug between the development of the log out/shutdown script. If you go to your menu click more apps, filter to system apps, and look through your list of installed apps you will find that log out and shut down are two different applications(well the way they treat them at least). They can not be one dialog. But now that you do mention it, it is weird that they would create this application in this way. A quick fix for you, would be to go to System Settings - Keyboard - Shortcuts - Custom Shortcuts then make a new shortcut called shutdown and in the line asking for the command enter /usr/lib/indicator-session/gtk-logout-helper -s without the quotes, then set your shortcut to what ever you desire hope this helps for now -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876290 Title: Ctrl+Alt+Del mapped to log out dialogue To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-session/+bug/876290/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 898321] [NEW] Keyboard-Settings - Shortcuts - Custom Shortcuts deletion does not actually delete
Public bug reported: When you create a custom shortcut, with a key binding, and later delete it, the item is removed from the list but the key binding is not removed Steps to recreate: 1. add a custom shortcut with a key binding 2. make sure the key binding works 3. remove the item from the menu with the minus button 4. try your key binding again The hackish work around i found for this was: 1.assuming the name of your first shortcut was Shutdown 2.after you deleted Shutdown create a new shortcut with the same exact name(doing this disables the key binding) 3.you can now delete the second shortcut to completely remove the key binding ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: gnome-control-center 1:3.2.2-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-13.22-generic 3.0.6 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-13-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Nov 30 14:04:39 2011 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot - Release amd64 (20111012) SourcePackage: gnome-control-center UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) usr_lib_gnome-control-center: deja-dup 20.1-0ubuntu0.2 gnome-bluetooth3.2.0-0ubuntu2 indicator-datetime 0.3.1-0ubuntu1 ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug oneiric running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/898321 Title: Keyboard-Settings - Shortcuts - Custom Shortcuts deletion does not actually delete To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/898321/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 665467] Re: I cannot send text messages through aim account on empathy
it almost seems like there should be an option to add this to an existing AIM contact, and this feature is only half broken, as in people don't really know it exists or how it works in empathy. From what I've seen it needs this format in order to work: +AZZZXXX A = Country code Z = Area Code X = Phone number -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/665467 Title: I cannot send text messages through aim account on empathy -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
