[Bug 567176] Re: Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder

2010-04-24 Thread Elly
I've been investigating the bug and I think it is now definitely related
to the current version of backintime that is causing the bug. I'm
using the backintime from the testing repository https://launchpad.net
/~bit-team/+archive/testing and it looks more promising (better).

Please can you close this bug and make it related to the backintime bug,
would that be possible?

[Bug 567176] Re: Clicking on any folder or a usb drive folder

2010-04-20 Thread Elly
Reproducible - oh yes!

Connect a USB drive, e.g. MaxtorOneTouch (500GB drive) and then when
Ubuntu detects the connected USB, click on the USB icon on the desktop
or click on Places then Home Folder, either step you can see the USB
drive connected. Click on it and click on sub folders etc, it greys out
and takes a while to look into folder. I do backup regularly using the
BackInTime application to this USB drive - I don't think it has anything
to do with it but just thought I would mention it.

Anyway, it freezes and I end up having to reboot.

What's the workaround? I'm still getting this bug on my Ubuntu 10.04
beta_amd64.
