[Bug 418894] Re: Convert to task not functioning
Hi, I just confirmed that this *does* work for me, on 9.04. Using convert to task both makes a new task show up in the tasks panel in Evolution, and in the calendar dropdown system panel. Can you confirm that clicking on the Tasks button in the lower left does in fact not show anything? Thanks. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- Convert to task not functioning https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/418894 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 410425] Re: i could not start playback - playlist was empty
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures. At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). [Bug 396342] Re: evolution uninstalls gnome gnome-desktop-environment
Hi, Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. I just tried, but failed, to reproduce it on my machine. The step I took was to run (in a terminal) sudo apt-get autoremove evolution abiword gnome-games and then I examined the list of packages that would be removed. I did not see any indication that GNOME would be uninstalled. Can you please elaborate on how exactly you ran in to the problem, as well as how you installed GNOME and those programs in the first place? Is this a standard installation from the CD distribution, or did you perhaps install GNOME manually at some earlier point? [Bug 395802] Re: Unable to perform upgrade
On further thought, I believe that this is more appropriately handled as a support question than as a bug. I believe the cause of this is an errant sudo in your sources.list file, which is what the grep command from my previous comment would hopefully confirm. In that case, we can fix this for you by helping you identify where the problem is, and removing that line (or just the sudo part). ** Changed in: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+question/76166 -- Unable to perform upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/395802 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Hi, thanks for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Looking at your issue, I believe that this is not a bug report, but a help question, so I am converting it to a support request in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. [Bug 301287] [NEW] Rhythmbox freeze between tracks
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox Although this does not happen consistently, Rhythmbox has had a number of complete freezeups when switching tracks. The UI becomes somewhat blanked out (outlines of some elements are visible, but no text or widgets), and sound output stops. The app becomes completely unresponsive and has to be killed. After relaunching Rhythmbox, attempting to play a track results in the message Couldn't start playback: failed to open output device. Some other sound-capable apps are also affected: after such a crash, both VLC and Totem lose audio capabilities, but others, for example, embedded flash (e.g. YouTube) plays fine.
