[Bug 778176] Re: Nautilus freezes on FTP file transfer

2011-05-09 Thread Florian Lentsch
Could this be a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/774096and
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/774395 ?

I don't see the XSession errors Ben Stanley reported though... But I
think they might be unrelated.

What I do get is the following in dmesg:
gvfsd-ftp[10868]: segfault at 0 ip (null) sp 7f26168bbd88 error
14 in gvfsd-ftp[40+3]

[Bug 139627] Re: Clock applet opens wrong day in evolution

2011-04-29 Thread Florian Lentsch
I just upgraded to natty and this changed the version of my gnome-panel
to 1:2.32.1-0ubuntu6 where this should be fixed according to the above
posts.

However this didn't solve the problem on my machine... What happens now
made me laugh a bit: Now the opened day is correct but the month opened
is the month, that was clicked, minus one. (Double click on April 29th
opens March 29th - the year is correct though ;-) )

I guess the bug is still in the panel, since the issued command is the
following for my example:
evolution calendar:///?startdate=20110329
Another indication for this is, that clicking on a date in the unity clock
applet (or indicator, as I believe those are called now) works fine! Unity
calls:
evolution calendar:///?startdate=20110428T23Z

Before trying I removed all evolution settings using the following commands:
rm -r ~/.evolution/
rm -r ~/.gconf/apps/evolution/
evolution --force-shutdown
killall gconfd-2

[Bug 442157] Re: The autoaudiosink element is missing

2010-05-21 Thread Florian Lentsch
@obeliskz
Hmm... I don't actually know too much about the internals of the Ubuntu audio
system - but for me changing some of the gconf values to do alsa* did the trick
(see attached screenshot). Apparently it depends on your sound card which of
the above solutions will help...

To be able to change the gstreamer gconf values do the following (If that's
what you don't know how to do):
1) Press ALT+F2 to open the Run dialog.
2) Enter 'gconf-editor' and press ENTER.
3) Open the gconf path '/system/gstreamer/0.10/default' (on the left side) and
change the values as described (on the right side)
