Yeah, I confirm this too. I'm using Hardy after upgrading from Edgy.
There I used XMMS for opening folders, but in Hardy I decided to switch
to Audacious. XMMS is still in my open with menu, even though the app
itself is not around anymore. But other apps don't add there. And yes,
it is only so

Yes, at least the program did disappear and the control was returned to
terminal. Does it look like I quit it normal way? Maybe, something in
the letter triggered the quit mechanism or something?
