[Bug 1946130] [NEW] Opening a new tab changes environment

2021-10-05 Thread Goyo
Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce

1. Open the file manager
2. Right click -> Open in Terminal
3. In the terminal type "echo $USER", then press enter. The user name is
printed in the line below.
5. Right click in the terminal, select New Tab.
6. In the terminal type "echo $USER", then press enter. An empty line is
printed.

Expected result: in step 6 the user name should be printed.

There are many other environment variables affected. As a result many
programs can't be executed or don't behave properly in the second tab.

When the terminal is launched from the dash, new tabs work as expected.
Only terminals launched from nautilus are affected. I tried to file this
against nautilus-extension-gnome-terminal but launchpad tells me the
package does not exist.

I don't think the link to gnome-bugs #168304 is correct. That's about
adding annotations support to evince (and it's indeed fixed, evince has
annotation support from some time ago), this is about evince not sowing
annotations created by openoffice/libreoffice.

[Bug 439095] Re: gnome-screenshot creates white corners on windows corners

2012-02-04 Thread Goyo
Works for me (gnome-utils 3.2.1-0ubuntu1, Ubuntu 11.10 oneiric).
This is still an issue with compiz and mutter but I think those are separate
bugs. AFAIK the compiz issue is not going to be fixed upstream while the mutter
one is being worked on.

[Bug 439095] Re: gnome-screenshot creates white corners on windows corners

2012-02-04 Thread Goyo
Looking more carefully at tha bug description it does not seem to be
metacity-only since compiz also uses metacity themes.
Indeed this is still an issue with the default window manager (compiz) and I
can't find a bug more specific to it.

[Bug 875224] Re: nautilus shows the files with wrong calculated size

2011-11-13 Thread Goyo
It seems like Nautilus used binary units (MiB) before but switched to
decimal units (MB) in Oneiric. Some translations (e.g. spanish) still
use MiB though, so the number and the units do not match in the
translated nautilus. So not a nautilus bug but a translation one.

[Bug 355370] Re: gnome-screensaver does not respect screensaver selection

2009-04-07 Thread Goyo
Steve, I didn't notice before but when I run gnome-screensaver-
preferences (still 2.24.0-0ubuntu5) sometimes the screensavers show up
and sometimes they don't. When they do, selecting one of them has no
effect, even the setting is not stored.

The list is always empty if I launch gnome-screensaver-properties from
terminal and sometimes if I use Alt+F2.

[Bug 355370] [NEW] gnome-screensaver does not respect screensaver selection

2009-04-04 Thread Goyo
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

Using Xubuntu Jaunty beta, gnome-screensaver 2.24.0-0ubuntu5.

I always get a blank screen no matters the screensaver choosen in gnome-
screensaver-preferences.

Maybe a xubuntu issue? There's no menu entry for gnome-screensaver-
preferences but a list of screensavers under
Applications-settings-screensavers which does nothing.

** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
