even if power is connected, the screen is dim coming back from standby.
brightness buttons dont work and only after echo 100
/proc/acpi/video/DGFX/LCD/brightness is the screen back to normal brightness.
i run proprietary nvidia

gnome-power-manager as the process that makes the %WAIT go up to 80% for that
time.
could be vmware-vmx that has something to do with it too going
