then upon resume, Ubuntu shuts down.

I'm new to Ubuntu - am using 8.10. It came loaded with Evolution 2.24.3
and I'm having a similar problem to others in that this window keeps

I hope this can get fixed for Jaunty. I have the terrible habit of
typing reset in my terminals pretty frequently. And due to this bug I
keep having to resize the window. Thanks.

One other part of this bug which has not been mentioned here is that
when you connect via dial-up you can't use NetworkManager to setup a
VPN.
Also, I've heard that NetworkManager 0.7 fixes these problems.
