Same problem here. I would add that any flash content does this for me.
Browser windows disappear when closed but they are still in memory.
Opening (and eventually closing) further windows leads to huge CPU and
memory consumption and finally epiphany crashes.
One remarkable thing is with killing
If I open only pages without flash, epiphany closes OK and no process
remains. Once I open something with flash content, closing any further
ephy tab or window (even without flash) produces something like this ...

The problem is with epiphany-extensions, disabling all of them or
uninstalling the package solves the problem. I have not been able to
find out which specific extension causes the problem.

1) logout, login in text console
2) kill -1 -1, wait a moment and then kill -3 -1
3) go to .gconf directory and remove apps/gswitchit directory, remove

Maybe there is a possible solution, mostly workaround but needs some
code to be written.
Situation: keyboard shortcuts control 'main' mixer, volume applet
controls both 'main' and 'PCM' together; to really change volume while
using headphones, you need to change 'PCM'.

All the read errors are not related to this bug, I tried to copy some
files from a scratched DVD.
Also note it is possible to mount CD/DVD manually (from terminal or via
'Computer' and 'CD-ROM 1' - mount). The name of DVD drive used to be
more specific in 'Computer' as well ;-)

g-p-m doesn't use usplash when shutting down computer due to empty
battery. Normal shutdown is using usplash though.

I'm not sure if this is a duplicate of recently seen behaviour (usplash
doesn't show up immediately after shutdown from gnome-session). usplash
has not been used for shutdown from g-p-m even when it worked perfectly
from both gdm and gnome-session.

That's what Richard said in comments. Ideally, even gdm should use
hal-system-power-shutdown and all ubuntu/usplash specific things (for shutdown)
should be done there in one place.

I would be happy to have /windows in 'Places' and in 'Computer' but not on
Desktop :-)
I don't use windows at all, I just have it because the computer is from my
company and keep windows for what-if scenarios :-)
