The issue is indeed the empty spot. This is triggered sometimes when my
cursor is placed on the panel or most of the time by it's self.
It didn't use to happen but it's happening every time. Sometimes when I log
in it even changes the theme.

I installed Docky, used it but wanted to return back to the original
Ubuntu (Gnome) panel. The panel was removed while I was using Docky (the
bottom Panel). But when I added a new bottom Panel and minimized my
applications, they do not show up
