[Bug 309602] [NEW] gnome-settings-daemon segmentation fault

2008-12-19 Thread Javier Cabezas
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

Distribution: Ubuntu Jaunty
gnome-settings-daemon: 2.25.2-0ubuntu3
libgnome-desktop-2-11: 2.25.3-0ubuntu1

I was not getting my preferences so I tried to execute gnome-settings-
daemon by hand, but the process automatically died after a few seconds.
Using gdb --args gnome-settings-daemon --no-daemon and setting set
follow-fork-mode child I got:

[Bug 269302] Re: At the GDM scree, Dell 610 laptop screen remains on while on a docking station and with an external screen connected

2008-09-18 Thread Javier Cabezas
This is not a xserver-xorg-video-intel problem since it works after you
log in. The problem is caused by the lack of dynamic display
configuration support in the packaged GDM (2.20). A new version is being
developed with support for dynamic configuration, but it is not clear
which version will be included in GNOME 2.24:
