[Bug 1382843] Re: corrupted double-linked list
As policy we don't release builds for same-version packages in Ubuntu's repos to avoid name and version conflicts. (In other words, since shotwell 0.20.2 is in the 14.10 repo, we don't release 0.20.2 for 14.10 in our PPA.) That decision is complicated with Ubuntu maintaining their own fork w/ UOA for Shotwell, but it's just how it goes. Another possibility would be to download the 0.20.2 tarball from GNOME, build it, and run it directly from the build directory (that is, you don't even need to install it). I know that's more painful but it would give a way to test the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to shotwell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1382843 Title: corrupted double-linked list To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/1382843/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1247895] Re: photo source file missing message with .orf
It may be that the version of gphoto2 you're using doesn't recognize .orf files as RAW files. gphoto2 is the libray Shotwell uses to communicate with cameras. Do you have access to a newer version of Ubuntu (with a newer version of Shotwell)? If you connect the camera to your computer, is it available in Nautilus as a mounted filesystem? If so, you should be able to copy the files off of the camera onto your computer manually. [Bug 1247895] Re: photo source file missing message with .orf
The other possibility (and the one I'm more leaning toward now) is that LibRaw doesn't recognize the .orf files. LibRaw is the library Shotwell uses to process RAW files. You can import a newer version of Shotwell from our PPA: https://launchpad.net/~yorba/+archive/ppa However, I don't know if this alone will solve your problem, since the newer version of LibRaw is not available there. Your best bet would be to upgrade Shotwell and build and install the latest LibRaw from http://www.libraw.org/. In fact, you might look at http://www.libraw.org/download and see if your camera is listed as supported before doing that.
