[Bug 191548] [NEW] Evolution frequently displays Your Calendar/Tasks will not be available until Evolution is restarted. (Ubuntu 8.04 Alpha 4)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Connected to an Exchange server. Very frequently Evolution will display Your Calendar will not be available until Evolution is restarted. (or something like that). I get the same message for Tasks as well. This is happening constantly, and I haven't been able to pinpoint what's causing it yet. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Evolution frequently displays Your Calendar/Tasks will not be available until Evolution is restarted. [Bug 147943] Re: [MASTER] broken initial stacking (was: compiz hides quick loading windows at login)
I am still getting the original error, sort of. Whenever I start up my computer, I still don't get the panels on screen, unless I hit Ctrl+Alt+Right Arrow to switch viewports, and then they appear again. I have the latest updates as of 17 Oct 07, which is only one day away from the launch date, and I'm still getting this error. -- [MASTER] broken initial stacking (was: compiz hides quick loading windows at login) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147943 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 147943] Re: [MASTER] broken initial stacking (was: compiz hides quick loading windows at login)
I just rebooted (because I wanted to make sure that it didn't just happen on the first boot after a theme change), but now it appears that the panels are still gone. Can someone else try changing some parts of your theme (maybe window border, controls, etc.), and then reboot? I wonder what the cause could be... is there something that gets overwritten when you change those aspects of a theme? Is the compiz fix simply focused on the theme that is active when you install it? That sounds unlikely, but I'm not sure why this happened. ** Attachment added: panels.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9950704/panels.png -- [MASTER] broken initial stacking (was: compiz hides quick loading windows at login) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147943 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 147943] Re: [MASTER] broken initial stacking (was: compiz hides quick loading windows at login)
Ahh, why do I have to be the loner? It was fixed for me, at first, but then last night I changed the theme of my windows a little bit in System -- Preferences -- Appearance, and today when I booted up and logged in, both of my panels were missing until I changed viewports. [Bug 148953] Re: Hitting Reply To All in Evolution when connected to Exchange server crashes Evolution (Ubuntu 7.10 beta)
Yes, I'm still getting this problem. Evolution simply seizes up, and it dims, and it sits there until I eventually kill it myself, because it never actually dies on its own. It's just unusable until I kill it and start it up again. -- Hitting Reply To All in Evolution when connected to Exchange server crashes Evolution (Ubuntu 7.10 beta) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148953 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 25931] Re: Failed to initalize HAL.
I tried the same thing that LCID Fire did, then I changed CONCURRENCY=none back to CONCURRENCY=shell in /etc/init.d/rc, and rebooted, but I'm still getting the same error. -- Failed to initalize HAL. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/25931 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 147943] Re: [MASTER] broken initial stacking (was: compiz hides quick loading windows at login)
Strange, before the last compiz updates (before the last updates prior to 10 Oct 07, that is), I was able to click on the desktop and my panels would appear. Now (after the last compiz update prior to 10 Oct 07) when I first boot and log in, both panels are invisible, and the clicking no longer works. I actually have to switch to the next viewport and then my panels become visible. [Bug 148953] Re: Hitting Reply To All in Evolution when connected to Exchange server crashes Evolution (Ubuntu 7.10 beta)
I'm not sure that this backtrace is that descriptive as to what happened, particularly because the application remains hung for a long time, and I end up having to kill it. But here it is anyway... ** Attachment added: gdb-evolution.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9941889/gdb-evolution.txt -- Hitting Reply To All in Evolution when connected to Exchange server crashes Evolution (Ubuntu 7.10 beta) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148953 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

It still says fix released under Status up top. I'm still getting this bug, too, so I don't believe that a fix has actually been released. -- bottom panel not visible when desktop starts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147070 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 148091] Top panel invisible upon login to Gutsy 7.10 beta (GNOME)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel This problem may either be in gnome-panel, nautilus, or compiz-fusion. I'm not sure how to upload files, so if someone e-mails me I can provide more information. I have an Intel Mobile 945GM graphics controller, GNOME 2.2, Ubuntu 7.10 beta, and compiz 0.5.3. When I first log in, the top panel is not visible. It instantly becomes visible as soon as I click on either where the panel is supposed to be, the desktop, or one of the desktop icons. Click on the opposite panel does not make the other visible. When I first installed 7.10 beta, I switched the panels (top to bottom, bottom to top), and I noticed that an image of the panels were still there, even though the image was not an actual panel (could not click on anything on it). I moved one of the panels to the left side of the screen, and there was still an image at the top, though the working panel was on the left. Strange. I don't know if this is relevant, but I've been surprised in the past, so I'll mention that my bottom panel (the one that actually shows up on login) was modified to have 50-pixel icons, dynamic sizing (by unchecking Expand), and partial transparency. The top panel has standard properties, and only the contents of the panel have been changed (either added or removed items). The main menu is on the bottom panel. I hope this helps, please contact me if you need more information (which you probably will). ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Top panel invisible upon login to Gutsy 7.10 beta (GNOME) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148091 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
