[Bug 1969598] Re: no auto-focus application after workspace switch
Then somehow in between 21.10 and 22.04 there was a change in the behaviour of Desktop Icons NG, as in: when is grabbing focus appropriate. If the new behaviour is preferred by the author, it would be nice for the end-user to have the option to toggle between the old and the new behaviour. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1969598 Title: no auto-focus application after workspace switch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1969598/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1969598] Re: no auto-focus application after workspace switch
@daniel thanks for the tip! Disabling seems to solve the focus issue, but now there's no more desktop icons (duh :) ) Personally I use the desktop icons all the time, anything that needs immediate attention goes to the desktop, disabling that would (for me) not be a workaround, but a choice between two evils. If 'Desktop Icons NG' is the root of the issue, maybe the ticket should be filed there?

[Bug 174611] Re: gnome-system-monitor showing impossible amounts of memory
Could this be an easter egg? http://66.102.9.104/search?q=cache:xIINkbxei0sJ:www.cameronmoll.com/archives/2007/04/surviving_the_allday_tech_interview/+distance+17179869180hl=nlct=clnkcd=1 quote 13 David Yeiser ~ 04 April 2007 The moon one is actually a lot less folds than I thought when I first heard this riddle. Assume the phone book to be 2” thick: 1 fold (1f) = 2 x previous thickness. 1f = 4” 2f = 8” 3f = 16” 4f = 32” 5f = 64” … 33f = 17179869180” = 271,147 miles Distance from the earth to the moon = 238,906 miles. It’s based on geometric growth, so you can produce a formula that would give you the height of the resulting folds with the variables being the thickness of the phone book and the number of folds. t0 = original thickness of phone book f = number of folds h = height of phone book after folds EQ: h = t0*(2^f) So for 33 folds: h = (2)*(2^33) = 17179869180” Okay, I’m done now. [Bug 34247] Trash always empty.
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/34247 Comment: I have the opposite problem. Trash applet 2.12.1 on Breezy shows a full icon and 2 items in Trash tooltip even though it's empty. Rightclick and empty trash doesn't help. ls -al ~/.Trash or nautilus show no contents apart from . and .. Removing and putting back the applet solves the issue.
