[Bug 1207812] Re: iOS 7, Trust Prompt Looping

2014-02-25 Thread Joost Van Durme
I keep on having this error:

DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply
(timeout by message bus)
Hence nautilus is unable to show the iphone's content.

12.04 LTS, iphone 5s ios 7.0.6.

What a joke (ingo tried his best, it's up to others to fix this).

[Bug 1195725] Re: Nautilus window jumping with dual monitors

2013-08-26 Thread Joost Van Durme
I can confirm what Prasanna sees. When Chromium is launched maximized, typing
in the address bar makes the browser jump to the non-external screen.
No bug when Chromium is not maximized.

I have a dual monitor setup (big desktop style where mouse goes from one

[Bug 908650] Re: System Settings window cannot resize

2012-07-09 Thread Joost Van Durme
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 936257 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/936257

This inconsistency also annoys me and I found a little workaround.
Edit this file:

/usr/share/gnome-control-center/ui/shell.ui

In the beginning you will see these lines:

object class=GtkWindow id=main-window
property name=title translatable=yesSystem Settings/property
property name=resizableFalse/property
property name=icon_namepreferences-desktop/property
property name=window_positioncenter/property

Add this line after the last property:

property name=width_request1000/property

And modify the resizable line to:

property name=resizableTrue/property

This will fix the width to 1000 pixels or whatever you enter and make
the window resizable. You can also play with the height_request
property, similar to width_request. It won't remember anything when you
resize though. It will always open at 1000 px width. But at least the
damn scrollbar is gone and all icons are visible.

cheers peepz.

[Bug 917655] Re: clicking on quicklist bookmark does not give focus on nautilus

2012-01-18 Thread Joost Van Durme
Hi Didier,

sorry to say that it still doesn't work as expected. I am able to open
e.g. the Documents folder from the quicklist once, but not more than
once after I close Nautilus.

What I did:

1. Start a new session
2. Right-click on Nautilus launcher icon and select Documents, this opens
Nautilus with Documents folder opened
3. Close Nautilus
4. Right-click on Nautilus launcher icon and select Documents, this does
nothing anymore

Right-clicking on the nautilus launcher icon and then left-clicking on:

- a custom bookmark
- documents, downloads, video, music, pictures, home

does not open Nautilus. Well, nothing happens actually.

Nautilus does open when you click on Home Folder or Open A New
Window

Is this the same issue as you, Pavol?

Precise Alpha 1, updated all packages.

HI Daniel,

Did I miss something perhaps?

[Bug 742544] Re: Launcher is shown on the wrong screen in some multi-monitor setups

2012-01-13 Thread Joost Van Durme
Ok I see what's happening now. The dpkg command tells me the fix is installed,
but it seems to be only for Unity3D, not for Unity2D.
And I'm using Unity2D since Unity3D is heavily slowed down with ATI cards using
the fglrx driver. Moving windows is chunky.
I logged back in with Unity3D and the launcher is now on the correct screen.
Unfortunately I have to use 2D because the graphics are too slow in Unity3D
with my card.
Any chance on a fix for 2D, Daniel? :-)

[Bug 742544] Re: Launcher is shown on the wrong screen in some multi-monitor setups

2012-01-12 Thread Joost Van Durme
Hi Daniel,

I'm using 11.10 with an ATI card (Radeon HD 3650) and I'm having this issue.
I installed the fix from your ppa, but no luck.

Basically, the launcher is always on the left screen (as specified by xrandr)
and the --primary flag (this is my way of defining the primary monitor) of
xrandr is ignored by unity.
And I would like my rightmost external monitor to be the primary screen.

Any ideas on this matter? Would benefit really a lot from it.

Thanks!
