[Bug 2060575] Re: gnome-keyring fails to automatically unlock login keyring after recent updates in noble
Same issue on an MSI b350m bazooka Mobo with Ryzen 5600 and rtx 3090 (proprietary drivers, v550) Fresh install of 24.04 beta I believe this bug is related to render hangs and DE crashes I've been experiencing at login. If the bug is circumvented by changing to a blank password for the keyring, these render errors no longer occur. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2060575 Title: gnome-keyring fails to automatically unlock login keyring after recent updates in noble To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-keyring/+bug/2060575/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1866974] Re: The Diffie-Hellman prime sent by the server is not acceptable
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1872778 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1872778 Okay, well after entirely too much excitement, I made some progress. After much googling, I found that this error message refers to a problem with GNOME so one can get around it by going into console mode, which I did with alt-shift-F3. I then was able to edit the config file and worked out that the problem was that contrary to the appearance of the example commands, the line starting with "default-priority" needs to all be on one line. After I made that change, I was able to reboot back into GNOME. With the security level lowered, the GNOME Online function of the Settings app now worked! I am now fully able to get e-mail from this account. Given how fraught this all was, may I suggest that someone address this issue? [Bug 1822610] [NEW] Scaling not persisted across reboots on Disco
Public bug reported: Using Xorg with Nvidia-412 drivers on 19.04. When running and apt upgrade (inc the Nvidia driver), something seems to have updated that's overwriting the Gnome settings scale option. I want this to be at 100%, but it keeps going back to around 200% everytime I reboot. When I check back in Gnome Setting to see the resolution, 100% is selected, so I have to click 200% and then 100%, at which point it looks normal again. ** Affects: mutter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1822610 Title: Scaling not persisted across reboots on Disco To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1822610/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1768754] [NEW] Applications are muted (silent) but system sounds work
Public bug reported: How to reproduce this bug: * Connect a laptop to a dock, which is connected to a screen with an HDMI / DisplayPort cable. * Then configure the sound to exit through the cable connecting the screen. * Turn off the computer * Take it out of the dock * Turn on the computer Then, the sound automatically switches to the audio output of the laptop. System sounds work well, such as the bell of output volume slider or the test speaker buttons “front left” or “front right”. Unfortunately, no more applications can produce a sound. [Bug 1746099] Re: On *battery* power when ubuntu 17.10 boots, after the splashscreen a black screen appears
It sounds like the kernel is ruled out as the cause of this bug. The bug still happens with Xenial and 4.10 based kernels on Artful and the bug didn't happen on Zesty or Xenial prior to upgrading to Artful. If 17.04 did not exhibit the bug, it would be good to test one of the Xenial kernels. If you still expierence the bug with this kernel and a 17.10 userspace, the cause might be outside of the kernel. Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.15 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. [Bug 792085] Re: Automatic remount of safely removed USB 3.0 drive
I built a test kernel for Xenial and Yakkety with the following commit: 37be66767e3c usb: hub: Fix auto-remount of safely removed or ejected USB-3 devices The test kernels can be downloaded from: Xenial: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp792085/xenial Yakkety: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp792085/yakkety Can someone affected by this bug test the kernels and see if they resolve this bug? Precise and Trusty require some backporting, so I'll review to see if any prereq commits are also needed for commit 37be66767e3c to apply. [Bug 1641468] [NEW] systemd-resolve: fallback from resolve causes lookup of local network hosts to fail
