Thank you for this bug report. This may be a dumb question, but are you
getting sound from your other applications? Just trying to make sure it
is an issue with rhythmbox. In the meantime, while you are waiting for
this bug to be fixed, the Ubuntu Forums is a great place to get advice
for
Running the three commands I suggested caused to to lose sound? Those
commands shouldn't do anything but display information. They also give
three separate outputs. Could you attach all three separate outputs?
Thank you.

incomplete tag. I still would like to know if you were able to turn up

time to visit the Ubuntu Forums I previously mentioned as you wait for

What's going on is that the menu item Application-accessories-terminal
has a desktop file that tells that menu entry what to do when it is
pressed. It is told to launch a gnome-terminal.
I believe if the desktop file for that menu entry gave a command for the

I have created a feature request with upstream, asking them to make it
so that when the gnome terminal icon in the gnome menu is clicked then
the terminal from your preferred applications is used.

problem is with nautilus? Thanks again.

I can confirm this is the case. Go to System- Administration-Users
and groups- Properties of the user and you do things like type into the
password field etc... It won't save but it would be nice if these fields
were frozen from non-administrators.
