[Bug 59589] Re: display sleep time - why 11 minutes (gnome-power-preferences confusing to the users)

2009-06-24 Thread Karl Gmeiner
There is no obvious reason why it should not be possible to set it to
As soon as computer is idle. It would be much more intuitive, that the
left border of the slider is as soon as computer is idle instead of
as soon as computer is idle + 1 minute.

[Bug 58861] Evolution does not fetch IMAP-Mails and crashes when terminating and next start up

2006-09-04 Thread Karl Gmeiner
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Ubuntu Dapper, Evolution Version 2.6.1-0ubuntu7:
I use an imap-account successfully in thunderbird (and used it in sylpheed). In
Evolution, using the same account settings (default settings, no encryption),
the prompt for a password never shows up and so the Loading... - message is
there forever. When using get mails for this account, the window wont close
(although Cancel all) until actively closed over the window manager.

When terminating Evolution the program is stuck, an strace reveals many
messages like
time([1157375621]) = 1157375621
in a row. This goes on until actively killed.
At the next start up evolution hangs immediately with the same strace-output.

I do not run beagle. Furthmore I am behind a firewall and use NAT. As I
pointed out, I do not have problems with any other mail program.

** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Untriaged
 Status: Unconfirmed
