[Bug 531556] Re: [Lucid] Blank Screen after login

2010-03-09 Thread Katsudon
In my case details are slightly different:
the screen is blank with a white mouse cursor and a text cursor in the
upper-left corner, pressing any button causes some text to be written on the
screen (but also buttons such as Alt produce some output)
Pressing Ctrl-Alt-7 opens the login console.
The first login always fails (it does not say login failed, it simply returns
to login screen).
The second login succeeds.

[Bug 425411] Re: Computer suspends immediately after resuming if power is unplugged while suspended

2009-11-30 Thread Katsudon
The original bug report concerned the problem related to resuming if
power unplugged while suspended and if I understand, it is still an
issue for some users.

The problems related to closing lid might be related, but maybe it would
make sense to keep it as a separate bug report or at least not to remove
the original problem from the description of the bug. Another option
would be to change the description of the bug to include both problems.

** Summary changed:

- Computer suspends immediately after resuming after lid close/open
+ Computer suspends immediately after resuming if power is unplugged while
suspended

[Bug 444569] [NEW] sound applet slider does not move

2009-10-06 Thread Katsudon
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

Ubuntu 9.10 beta + all upgrades.
After recent upgrades the slider under the sound applet cannot be moved by a
mouse and after each login the sound is minimized, no matter how it was set
before.
However, the sound can be adjusted by keyboard mutimedia keys. Once this is
done, the slider behaves properly.

I have seen this page recommended for Lenevo's with suspend to Disk/RAM
problems.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NvidiaLaptopBinaryDriverSuspend;

The above link is related to Bug #34043, connected with proprietary nvidia
driver.
However, after switching off the proprietary driver the problem remains, so
probably these two issues are not related.
