[Bug 580947] Re: Toolbox not represented in task bar
This bug (if it is a bug) also affects gimp 2.6.8 on XFCE 4.6.1 (Xubuntu 10.04). The toolbox, layers dialog, etc. are never represented in the task bar or task switcher. Only the main window (when it exists) or image windows are represented. However, the toolbox and other windows are brought to the top whenever an image window is focused. I assume this behavior is intended to substitute for their representation in the task bar. It did not do this in KDE. It would be nice if the raising behavior and representation in the task bar were both optional. -- Toolbox not represented in task bar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/580947 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 580947] [NEW] Toolbox not represented in task bar
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gimp GIMP's toolbox window is sometimes not represented in the task bar. When this occurs, one must uncover it and click on it to switch to it. I have not found a way to deliberately reproduce this, but it occurs frequently. Also, when this bug occurs, sometimes an additional bug occurs. The expected task bar button appears when GIMP is *closed*, and cannot be gotten rid of short of logging out. ps reports no running gimp process. Again, I cannot deliberately reproduce this, but it occurs frequently. [Bug 150089] Re: mixer_applet2 (aka volume control applet) hogs CPU
I can't take responsibility for forwarding this upstream, since I no longer use GNOME due to this and other longstanding bugs. [Bug 34947] Re: Volume Control slider doesn't update
I'm having a possibly related problem in Gutsy. Not sure if I should open a new bug. The volume control and mixer applet both behave erratically. The mixer applet slider jumps around wildly when scrolling and the applet unpredictably displays the mute icon, usually without actually muting. The volume control has different behavior for the left and right volume channels. The right side slider behaves pretty much normally, while the left side jumps up and down even more wildly than the mixer applet slider. Whenever the left slider is moved it breaks the link button underneath. Consequently, it is extremely difficult to adjust the left and right channels to the same volume. Then sometimes the left channel will spontaneously drop to zero, requiring it to be laboriously readjusted. I'm also having another problem with mixer_applet2, which may or may not be related: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/150089 -- Volume Control slider doesn't update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/34947 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 67189] Re: smb password not being saved in gnome keyring
Yes, the problem also affects wlan settings. I have to reenter my password every time I boot, then manually perform all the network actions that should have occurred automatically. IMHO, this is *the* showstopper bug for 7.10 release. Even worse than the system and Flash sound regression a couple days ago. -- smb password not being saved in gnome keyring https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/67189 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
