Wow, it's been almost three years since I reported that bug. I switched to
MPlayer shortly afterwards, and haven't really looked back at Totem.
Anyways, I just did a quick check, and I can't reproduce the bug at the moment.
Unless one of the others who confirmed it still experience this problem,
Patch copied from upstream bugzilla. Confirmed there to solve this
problem.
** Patch added: gnome-control-center-2.32.0-background-xml-write.patch
Confirmed. This bug is still present in Natty, gnome-control-center
version 1:2.32.1-0ubuntu2. It's quite annoying that I have to re-add all
my backgrounds almost every time I want to switch to a new one.

I'm using version 2.21.2-0ubuntu3 of gtk+2.0 (from maverick), and the

I would like to see an option in GCalctool to have function buttons like

The clock doesn't show weather info for me either, even though the

My city (Leiden, Netherlands) isn't listed, so I have to enter the
timezone and coordinates manually. The closest weather info is from
Valkenburg, Netherlands, but that info is not shown when I enter my
city.
Oh, I found the solution (which is probably also what I used on the old

Am I the only person who ever uses Japanese script in images? That seems

Also, wouldn't a bug filed by someone representing the Ubuntu community
carry more weight than one by a random user?

Is that the same version as is currently in the Intrepid repository?
That's the version I use: 2.4.7-1ubuntu1
The fonts in the xfonts-efont-unicode-ib package are listed as
h14_bi.pcf, h16_b.pcf, etc., both by the Gimp and other programs, so I
suppose that's because they don't have proper names.
This bug is still present in totem-gstreamer 2.23.3-0ubuntu1 (from

video icons instead of proper thumbnails. .xsession-errors shows the
same error as given above. gnome-video-thumbnailer couldn't process

This same thing happens with an avi file I have here. Nautilus and Totem
