[Bug 669062] [NEW] No information about discharging rate and no estimate of remaining time on Ideapad S12
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager I'm using natty (started with a clean Maverick install but the same problems are there too) on my Lenovo ideapad S12. Gnome-power-Manager doesn't display the discharging rate of the internal battery when on battery power and the icon doesn't give an estimate on the remaining runtime but only displays it's calculating the remaining time. I don't think it's a hardware-issue since powertop can read the discharge rate just fine. [Bug 538849] Re: Uses 100% CPU
If the patch is applied then I take it for granted the bug is resolved - for now. There are others affected by it who can confirm this - I can't reinstall evolution and let it run for a few days as it would mess up my mail-archive (I'm getting several hundred a day and I want these in one database in one program - receiving them via pop would let them end up in the evolution database from where I'd have to manually copy them over to sylpheed...) -- Uses 100% CPU https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/538849 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution-data-server in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 538849] Re: Uses 100% CPU
@Russell: No, it also happened when no mail was being sent. I'm using the past because I got rid of Evolution now (because of this bug, another one involving evolution to hang when a tiff is being previewed and the generally poor performance when handling large amounts of mails) and switched to Sylpheed - something I should've done a few years ago. It's incredible how much Sylpheed is faster - we're speaking operations taking place in the blink of an eye versus taking 10+ seconds like opening folders with tens of thousands of mails in it. @Sebastien: As I uninstalled Evolution I can't provide backtraces but take a look at this bugreport, there's a workaround posted: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=606902 and here are a few backtraces: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=595421 -- Uses 100% CPU https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/538849 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution-data-server in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 448515] [NEW] display shutoff not being triggered
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager I'm running Karmic with the latest updates and have been seing this bug for over a week now (since the display-shutoff-bug in xorg was fixed but that's most likely unrelated). I have set my power preferences to shut off the display after five minutes. If I boot up my computer the shutoff is not being triggered, the display stays on forever. Also when I lock my screen the display only goes black but the backlight is still on. What makes the shutoff work is to simply open and close the powermanager program in system - settings (I don't need to actually change any settings, I just open it and close it again after it's loaded). After that display shutoff works as expected - until I reboot.
