the volume indicator suddenly had the music player that I killed inside
it? There's exactly zero indication to what's happening, and the
perception is that somehow the player wasn't properly killed. Very bad

I often play music albums by opening the directory they are in in Totem,
I even have that set as an open-with action. Yes, there is Rhythmbox,
but I do play albums this way over SSH from servers etc, as well as I
like this way of playing music now.
I have something similar to your problem in Intrepid, Miloš. Totem seeks
forward on VOB files even when I press the left arrow, and clicking the
seek bar with middle button is imprecise.
No idea if it's the same bug as this though, but please let me know if
you open a separate bug?

Oh, so it's a recorded sound... it sure sounds more like "somethings
broken in my speakers". I think it is the same, but it seems it is
played a bit faster (and therefore also at a higher pitch) when it
indicates suspend failure.

Good call on the long sleep time, I have to verify but I think it may be
the same for me - I wondered a bit what it could be that triggered it
sometimes and sometimes not, and I think the most common case is when
I've left it overnight, but also other cases when I've been away for a
longer while.
Same here with a HP2710p, it works but gives the message and beeps
briefly but loudly when resuming. It was silent both message-wise and
soundcard-wise earlier in the betas, though I'm not sure exactly when it
started misbehaving.

Eh... so that the media player is launched whenever I add a SSH server
in Nautilus is not a bug?

I wondered why it would launch RB, when the common action probably is to
rip the CD. Turns out that, according to the help file, "Importing" a CD
means launching Sound juicer.
Could be more clearly worded in the menu, does not automatically
actually import the music unless you tweak settings, and

since recently, though anything else on the internet seems fine. I
