[Bug 594674] Re: Trash is not shown on --bind mounted filesystems

2011-03-01 Thread Leif Walsh
This also affects me. I have many directories (Music, Pictures, Videos,
Downloads, Documents, etc.) in my homedir that are bind mounts of
directories on another partition. If I delete a file with nautilus,
inside, say, ~/Music, it is put in /ext/Music/.Trash-1000, but doesn't
show up in the system trash dir. I have to manually delete everything
in these directories periodically, to reclaim space.

I see this is also an upstream bug, but it seems the discussion there
mirrors my own concern, that nautilus should at least show a message and
provide a Delete permanently option instead of trashing to a folder I
wouldn't otherwise see.

[Bug 714241] [NEW] evolution crash, corrupted double-linked list

2011-02-06 Thread Leif Walsh
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

I do not know how to reproduce this, it just happens every once in a
while when evolution is just sitting around, there is no interaction
required. I am running with two accounts, both type IMAP+, going to a
local dovecot-imapd. The imap server is synced with a remote server
using offlineimap every 3 minutes with a cron job (it does not hold
connections open), and evolution is set to use Idle.

Ubuntu 10.10
evolution 2.30.3-1ubuntu7.3
dovecot-imapd 1:1.2.12-1ubuntu8
offlineimap 6.2.0.2ubuntu1

Here is what I see on the console. It looks to be related to the use of
IMAP+.

[Bug 629258] Re: Battery life estimation never comes around

2010-12-20 Thread Leif Walsh
Brian: I am using the patched upower and friends from your PPA, and I
have a regression: the estimated time is frequently calculated
incorrectly, due to an incorrect calculation of the current. For
example, in typing this comment, I watched as three notifications went
by, all saying laptop battery low and reporting the battery at 5%, but
in order, they reported estimated remaining times at 0:12, 0:06, and now
0:20. My power usage has not changed significantly during this period.
I believe this is due to a sampling error, though I haven't looked at
the patch so I can't say how often it really occurs or exactly how to
fix it. In most cases it is fine though, so thank you for the work, but
I think it needs further review and testing before it is merged into
mainline. Furthermore, Intel's powertop gets the current correctly 100%
of the time, maybe it is worth looking in to how they calculate it.

Also, I can say for certain that my device used to properly report
current_now, in fact, I had scripts that used this value before and they
worked perfectly. I wish I could say with certainty when this
regression occurred, I expect it was due to a kernel update. I know it
worked some time after I upgraded to maverick, but before I started
using the 2.6.36 kernel from kernel-mainline (because that was supposed
to fix the extra load balancing ticks, which it didn't really do,
sadly). I don't expect that this is the issue though, since so many
others see this bug that are probably not using the 36 kernel. I hope
to do more investigation in the future.

[Bug 408336] Re: rhythmbox-metadata crashed with SIGSEGV in free()

2009-08-04 Thread Leif Walsh
To trigger the bug, I need to start rhythmbox with my external hard
drive unmounted, let it remove everything from its library, kill
rhythmbox, mount the drive, and restart it. During the scan, it
crashes.

I ran rhythmbox in valgrind as requested, and attached the log. I
killed it after about an hour, since valgrind makes it so incredibly
slow. If you can make sense of what's there, that's great, otherwise,
let me know and I'll re-run it overnight and get the full log.

Re: [Bug 117514] Re: seahorse does not synchronize keys with keyserver

Thanks for the Update. What version of seahorse are you using? Could you

I can't try right now, but once I get my laptop I can (this will be a
while, do your best not to block on me). gpa 0.7.6 also has this
problem (says Invalid Argument and crashes with no debugging info),
so this may be a deeper problem than I thought, or something totally
separate.

I still get 'entry has no objectClass attribute' when I try to publish

process of timing out again.
