I suspect, this is key handling issue.
To solve it, you should open application called seahorse
click on View, click on "By keyring"
Right click on Certificates like "Gnome key storage" and unlock it.

It is interesting.
The same happens to me in okular (unlike in xpdf) so problem is not
with evince but with the popplar library for sure. ( see the enclosed
png file)
I also enclosed the with packages of fonts installed on my system.
And this is the output of pdffonts but I still don't know how to

Levente as you said, okular and evince has the bug but xpdf and acroread not.
If you install ttf-symbol-replacement in the other machine, you could

I have a problem with printing this document.
http://cocosci.berkeley.edu/tom/papers/ncrp.pdf
Evince cannot print it on odd/even pages plus it brakes down at page 122.
Interestingly not only evince but okular is the same so I suspect this is a bug
of the libpoppler (again).

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor
I'd like to suggest to not let the system-monitor running in multiple instances
since it doesn't make sense and
just consumes too much of cpu, anyway.

Printing from evince
It is not related to a specific printer. Actually, evince cannot print on any
of the printers.
I tried the latest evince version 2.29 too but it behaves exactly the same.
For this reason I switched back to the version that can be found in the repo
(2.28)
Actually it is may be related to the bug
For some reasons I had the impression that this is related to the
upgrade from 9.04. However I still don't know if it was but I got the
solution as:
rm $HOME/.gnome2/evince $HOME/.gnome2/accels/evince -Rf
And after that evince can print again nicely.

Hi,
I tried to use evince 2.29 from http://live.gnome.org/Evince/Downloads
however it didn't solve my problem. I suggest you to take chance on this.
Or, okular (kpdf). printing is not that advanced (yet) but okular is
very nice either.
