Public bug reported:
After upgrading to Ubuntu 13.10, I observe the following problem:
While running the gnome desktop, gnome programs started on a remote X11 server
do not accept keyboard input from the remote server.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Log into your gnome desktop
2) Start another X11
I just came around this problem. It still is a problem in 12.04.
And I still do not understand why I have to install apache2 if I only
want to receive some files via bluetooth from my smart phone. I'm on a
campus network with my laptopm sometimes and it really frightens me to
have an http server
I'm still seeing this with my HP 6730b and 11.10. The laptop has an additional
removable battery. When I issue
cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state
I get
present: no
So it shouldn't be a problem to simply leave that one out when making
descisions concerning the battery state.
I can confirm that the package bluez from oneiric-proposed fixes the
problem on a HP 6730b as well. Thanks a lot!

I can confirm the issue. It is most annoying (I'll have to work around
by using kdm).
