Recently upgraded 2 computers to Kubuntu 18.04 and I'm also seeing this problem in that the Kubuntu splash screen stays up for ages. As I have only just upgraded my only other kernel was from 4.13. Installing haveged seems to have fixed it on one computer at least. -- You received this bug
