[Bug 629258] Re: Battery life estimation never comes around
This bug seems still present in natty (alpha1), on a dell mini9. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a subscriber of a duplicate bug (38795). https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/629258 Title: Battery life estimation never comes around -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 439448] Re: Visual corruption affecting several panel applets
Another workaround is to change the current theme (via system/preferences/appearance) to another one. Once done, the panel get drawn correctly and you can switch back to the old one. This approach has the advantage that it can be used also where the panel is locked down (as in UNE edition). As a side note, if you have to switch off in a hurry and are not able to use any of the workarounds proposed here, I think it is safe to hit the power button: it should be linked via acpi messages to the shutdown dialog. -- Visual corruption affecting several panel applets https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/439448 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 445123] Re: No GUI option to disable face browser
Please, this _bug_ is standing since karmic. It introduced a regression in user experience and renders gdm login unsuitable for corporate users (or my shared home machine, for what it's worth). I think that delaying the fix until lucid+1 is not a good idea, especially because lucid is intended to be a LTS version. -- No GUI option to disable face browser https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445123 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 445123] Re: No GUI option to disable face browser
Rick, Robbie, I'm obviously in no position to sponsor the release of a fix for this particular bug. Point is this is not a desired feature: this is a major regression that is outstanding since karmic, and that is going to go unfix in LTS. I understand the feature freeze, but I think that simply ignoring the problem is NOT going to make Lucis ship with the kind of excellent quality our users deserve. My opinion, of course. -- No GUI option to disable face browser https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445123 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Same behaviour here: gimp or some of its plugins keeps crashing randomly. If launched with G_SLICE=always-malloc it's stable as rock.
