Same entry in syslog with Ubuntu 10.04 (i386 - kernel 2.6.31-11-rt), but no specific issue observed with gdm or X (gdm configured to perform autologin with a xfce session). This CRITICAL log entry is logged on every boot. I tried gconf-cleaner as mentioned by dino99 but this did not help. I have this bug on eog with my lucid lynx and CR2 files. The images in landscape mode are well displayed. But all the protrait' image are mirrored and not autorotate (thanks to the exif tag). The problem don't appear with F-spot. The thumbnails in nautilus and in the eog collection is well displayed too. There are another strange behavior with eog(or nautilus) and CR2 file. When I open a jpeg file in nautilus, by default this will open eog with all the jpg files of the same directorie in the collection (of eog [F9]). If I open a CR2 file only this file is in the collection, so I cannot navigate through all the images.
