[Bug 272742] [NEW] eog won't ask to mount a volume

2008-09-21 Thread MurDoK
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eog

Intrepid Alpha6 fully updated.
When you have just installed ubuntu, you don't usually have the rights to mount
volumes.

Eog does nothing when you want to open a folder, in this case a volume,
that is not mounted and which you don't have rights to mount (yet).

The expected behaviour should be running policykit.
It's similar to when you want to access to a volume from computer:///... :
has rights? - open
hasn't rights? - ask password

2008-09-21 Thread MurDoK
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eog

Intrepid Alpha6 fully updated.

Bug #272742 may be related to this one.

Steps to reproduce:
1-Make sure you don't have rights to mount any volume.
2-Run eog; File-Open.
3-Choose any volume (Don't worry if it's not opened due to bug #272742) and
close the window.
4-Mount ANY volume from Places-volume (should ask for password).
5-Crash! (If it hasn't crashed then umount the volume and it should also crash).

[Bug 272761] [NEW] totem won't play last file of m3u list if there's no windows endline CR/LF

2008-09-21 Thread MurDoK
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem

I have an album ripped using windows so the m3u file has Windows newline CR/LF
on every line (those ^M seen in vi).
The problem is when you are playing the album using the m3u file and the last

and shows a popup saying:

I have done it too quickly without trying if it's specific to eog.
No, it's not specific to eog. Mostly sure it affects to all applications using

What package should this bug be reported against? gnome?

[Bug 264803] [NEW] [Hardy] sftp nautilus. read ssh config User

2008-09-04 Thread MurDoK
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Hi!

I use a lot the sftp://something function in nautilus. Apparently
nautilus reads the file ~/.ssh/config which is good. But in my case I'm
using a ssh key pair to connect to my desktop computers from my laptop.
Nautilus doesn't read all parameters, more concretely nautilus seems to
ignore the parameter User.

Let's give an example ~/.ssh/config:
Host desktop
User murdok
HostName 192.168.7.28
--eof--

If I type sftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED] it works perfectly. Instead, if I type
sftp://desktop (as if I did $ sftp desktop in a console), a popup
windows asks me for the user/password.

It's not the expected behaviour and it's becoming a bit annoying for me.
Thanks to the developers! If more information is need or I didn't explain it
well, just ask me.

[Bug 145172] can't extract splitted 7zip

2007-09-26 Thread MurDoK
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: file-roller

Hi.

I have an iso image splitted in 42 7zip files.
They are like:
MyIsoImage.7z.001
MyIsoImage.7z.002
MyIsoImage.7z.003
MyIsoImage.7z.004
[...]
MyIsoImage.7z.042

Mainly file-roller doesn't detect it's a 7zip file (while 'file' command does
with the first part (.001))
Once it's not detected as compressed file, I tried to force opening it with
file-roller but now file-roller says that the format is not supported.

I can uncompress it perfectly using 7z:

**
$ 7z e MyIsoImage.7z.001

7-Zip 4.43 beta Copyright (c) 1999-2006 Igor Pavlov 2006-09-15
p7zip Version 4.43 (locale=es_ES.UTF-8,Utf16=on,HugeFiles=on,1 CPU)

Processing archive: MyIsoImage.7z.001

Extracting MyIsoImage.cdi

[Bug 103293] search popup doesnt show remove

2007-04-05 Thread MurDoK
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When you do a search in nautilus... right-click on any result doesn't
show remove file. I think it would be useful for example I want to
delete all m3u files of my music folder

If you press supr file is removed but the search is not refreshed
If you press shift+supr happens nothing. Should it show the message '''you'll
delete this file forever. no trash''' ??

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)

[Bug 76516] p7zip-full as dependence in file-roller

2006-12-19 Thread MurDoK
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: file-roller

**Wishlist**

file-roller can't open a .7z file without installing the 'p7zip-full'
package. It can become hard to guess for a novice user because the
window dialog only says FORMAT NOT SUPPORTED.

IMO file-roller should install it as dependence or inform that you have
to install it (in the same window dialog).. or AT LEAST include this
package as suggestion.

This has been commented here:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/2
and it was rejected... WHY?

Regards, MurDoK

[Bug 76520] moving shortcuts in gnome-panel

2006-12-19 Thread MurDoK
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I'm running Ubuntu Edgy.

Well, I noticed that moving any icon/shortcut means of drag'n'drop over
gnome-panel causes the shortcut lose his properties (name, icon,
command, comment).

Excuse my bad english, anyway I think it's easy to understand... if not,
I'll try to explain it better.

Regards, MurDoK.
