[Bug 1288182]

2018-08-27 Thread Murz
Same problem reproduced with displaying PDF form in fresh Firefox and
Chrome web browsers, that use JS rendering. So the problem is in PDF
document - PDF document don't embed non-cyrillic font letters in PDF
file. For this cases is better to display symbols via some default font,
instead of missing letters.

So can we add workaround for "warning: layoutText: cannot convert
U+65E5" - replace font for this symbol to system default?

[Bug 580961] Re: unzip fails to deal correctly with filename encodings

2013-11-08 Thread Murz
Thanks, it works, I test this patch via ppa:frol/zip-i18n on raring and saucy
before, all works!
Now with precise-proposed it it works out of the box too.
But why only for precise, will it be updated for later ubuntu releases too?

[Bug 672420] Re: Changing volume to 0% breaks channel ballance

2010-11-17 Thread Murz
Can we fix this bug with ballance? Or it must be fixed in pulseaudio?
And what can we do for add support surround4.1, 5.1, 7.1 and other
configurations?
Because configuring different volumes per channel in surround systems needs
more often than in only stereo system.
I think better is to store each volume per-channel, instead of ballance.
I have create the bug in pulseaudio about this: http://pulseaudio.org/ticket/874

[Bug 672420] [NEW] Changing volume to 0% breaks channel ballance

2010-11-07 Thread Murz
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-media

I setup non-equal channel balance for my output device. When I changing volume
up to 100% and back, the balance config didn't breaks, it same as I set.
But when I setting volume to 0% (and when I goes back to non-0% volume), my
ballance setup was broken, channels setted to same volume!

And in my work I need to do my balance setup again very often, every time when
I try to do the low volume.
The issue is actual on surround 5.1, 4.1, 7.1 setup too, because by default
subwoofer have the same volume and users very often do the subwoofer lower than
other, and very often they tune each channel for get comfort volume from each
speaker in place near computer, and when changing volume very often they losts
all config.

For solve this problem, as I think, when changing volume down, we can
analyse new per-channel volumes and if some of channel will have 0%
volume, do the mute instead of decrease volume for each channel and
breaking current balance.

[Bug 197762] Re: file transfers on USB flash key (pendrive) are slowing down with time

2010-01-24 Thread Murz
Simon Holm Thøgersen, I can try to do the reports, can you give me some
step-by-step instructions and examples how I can do it better?
I can try to install new kernel and do some tests, if it will not too hard and
long process.
At now I try deadline scheduler and see the problem again after copying about
1.5gb to the flash. At start when copying first gb the speed was about 5-6
mb/sec, but after 1.5gb slows down to 0.2-1.5 mb.
I have attach part of output iostat -m 1 command at ~1.6-1.7 gb copied and
speed is slow down in deadline scheduler.

P.S. I have found an easy way yo check current scheduler and switch it without
reboot at http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-change-io-scheduler-for-harddisk/:
View Current Disk scheduler
# cat /sys/block/{DEVICE-NAME}/queue/scheduler
# cat /sys/block/sda/queue/scheduler
Sample output:
noop anticipatory deadline [cfq]

Set I/O Scheduler For A Hard Disk
To set a specific scheduler, simply type the command as follows:
# echo {SCHEDULER-NAME} /sys/block/{DEVICE-NAME}/queue/scheduler

[Bug 197762] Re: file transfers on USB flash key (pendrive) are slowing down with time

2010-01-21 Thread Murz
Setting elevator=noop solve the problem for me, the write speed to usb stick is
stable, about 5-6 mb/sec all the time. But now sometimes I see the HDD
performance problems while system write to usb.
Maybe try other elevator types?
Completely Fair Queuing — elevator=cfq
Deadline — elevator=deadline
NOOP — elevator=noop
Anticipatory — elevator=as

[Bug 197762] Re: file transfers on USB disk are very slow

2009-10-27 Thread Murz
Confirm this problem in Kubuntu Karmic RC amd64 fresh install: transfering a
big file (more that 600 mb) to the USB disk is very slow and get about 100% of
CPU usage (on AMD Athlon(tm) 7550 Dual-Core Processor with 4gb of RAM) all the
copying time.
Can I help with some additional debug info?
