[Bug 1039506] [NEW] Gnome does not properly detect battery
Public bug reported: Hi all, Recently my battery stopped being detected on gnome-power-statistics. So I went to investigate. I tried to check my battery on /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0, but I couldn't find it. acpi -b reported that the battery was present, so I investigated deeper. It seems like the new /sys interface is being favored and therefore the battery information is found at: /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/ Although I'm using RicoTZ's Gnome-testing ppa, his PPA does not include g-p-m, so I believe that's where I should include the bug. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1039506 Title: Gnome does not properly detect battery To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/1039506/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
