Hi Jeremy,

I'm having a similar issue runing Nautilus with RabbitCVS (nautilus

I'm attaching the bug. I can confirm using symbolic links solved my

By the way, why do I see a lot of bugs marked as Fix Released which

[Bug 1039506] [NEW] Gnome does not properly detect battery

2012-08-21 Thread Pedro Nariyoshi
Public bug reported:

Hi all,

Recently my battery stopped being detected on gnome-power-statistics. So
I went to investigate. I tried to check my battery on
/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0, but I couldn't find it. acpi -b reported that
the battery was present, so I investigated deeper. It seems like the new
/sys interface is being favored and therefore the battery information is
found at:

/sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/

Although I'm using RicoTZ's Gnome-testing ppa, his PPA does not include
g-p-m, so I believe that's where I should include the bug.

[Bug 1039506] Re: Gnome does not properly detect battery

2012-08-21 Thread Pedro Nariyoshi
Actually, it might be related to upower libs. According to the output of
gnome-power-statistics:

Should I add upower to the bug?

I'm adding acpi -b just in case. I'm wondering if this is a Kernel issue
rather than a gnome issue. Or maybe /proc/acpi/battery was relocated
somewhere else and gnome (and I) just don't know where.
