You are correct. It should. The bug is in a script that changes the x
-www-browser file. I am marking the bug as confirmed and will edit the
description for the developers. In the meantime in order to get a
choice of a preferred web browser, uninstall epiphany since you do not

Yes, now you have the stable version installed. Your elementary desktop
ppa was using a nautilus version that is obviously not working properly.
You can reinstall the windows theme if you like as well. It should work
fine now. So everything is OK at this point? If so i will close the

I just installed the theme pack. The problem appears to be the way
that theme makes nautilus behave. I was very surprised that it messed
with sudos nautilus configuration as well! Unfortunately we cannot work
with it since its not official ubuntu software. You will need to talk
to the person
Try this in a terminal,
sudo killall nautilus
sudo rm -r /home/YOUR USER NAME HERE/.gnome2/accels/nautilus
sudo rm -r /home/YOUR USER NAME HERE/.gconf/apps/nautilus
then start nautilus again by running this
nautilus exit
See if it clears it up.

hit the search button. For example if I open nautilus and go to the
/bin folder and search for skype, it will be searching for files with

with the Image, audio, video, documents tabs. Try a search as well
under a default theme.

Ah, thats a good point. If it is X then maybe i cannot reproduce it
because I do not have the same hardware configuration. Graphics wise i

I have just tried it on my laptop. I still cannot reproduce it though.
Now that the final release is out try that on your computer and report

To clarify, are you having this problem with a Live CD or with a fully
installed system? I have been trying it on a Live CD. I never actually
installed Xubuntu it to my hard drive. Is yours installed to your hard
drive when the problem is occurring? If it is I will fully install
Xubuntu and

I understand why you would think this to be the case and I wonder myself
why they didn't add more. Since this is more of a question than a bug I
am going to move it to the Questions area. Feel free to follow up on it
in there and see if you get an answer to this. I will do the same as I

I tried several times to reproduce this bug. I cannot get it though. I
am using the most recent version of Xubuntu. It may have been a problem
in just a few releases. Let me know if you reproduce it again and tell
me which candidate of Xubuntu you are using. Thanks.

Well I upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10 64 Bit. I started evolution and
went to calendar and everything seems to work fine. It doesn't seem
like a bug that is reproducible. It may be an anomaly limited to your
