[Bug 1971558] Re: dropbox menu icon often replaced with three dots under Jammy

2023-05-05 Thread Richard Trinkner
I made Marco's changes to /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/ubuntu-
appindicat...@ubuntu.com/appIndicator.js yesterday and have been using
my laptop heavily today.

So far, after a full day's work with many laptop closings and openings,
the Dropbox icon has displayed as expected. The drop-down menu from the
icon also continues to work as expected.

Thanks, Marco, for the apparent fix.

[Bug 1971558] Re: dropbox menu icon often replaced with three dots under Jammy

2023-05-04 Thread Richard Trinkner
@Marco: I edited the appIndicator.js file on my machine to reflect your
edit. So far (after 30 minutes of using my laptop), the Dropbox icon
remains present and its menu functions normally. I tested closing my
laptop to suspend and then reopening it, and the icon continues to
display as expected. I'll update here if the icon disappears to three
dots again after a longer trial period.

Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS
