Two problems:
1. When exporting a .jpg image, that has a thumbnail image, to the
desktop, the thumbnail, which should be displayed in portrait is changed
to landscape. This is new to gimp 2.10.

OK, I had to go back and think about this for a moment since I am no
longer on 17.04. I have tested this issue on both Ubuntu as well as
Ubuntu Bodgie, both on 18.04 and the same thing is happening with
Nautilus as the default.
To duplicate the issue, take the desktop file below, save it to the
[Desktop Entry]
