[Bug 491526] [NEW] slow usb 2.0 flash drive copying performance on 9.10

2009-12-02 Thread Roozbeh Gholizadeh
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gvfs

I am having very slow performance from ubuntu 9.10 - gnome - kernel
2.6.31-15-generic when copying files to usb flashdisk drive.
It starts very fast(3-4MB/S) but after a while it slows down to speed of
200,300KB/S.
700mg movie file took me around 4hour to copy.

[Bug 491526] Re: slow usb 2.0 flash drive copying performance on 9.10

2009-12-02 Thread Roozbeh Gholizadeh
It seems this issue is affecting lots of peaple.
I read in another bug report similar that you should create new reports for new
ubuntu versions, so i created this.
If any more info is required or i should do some tasks, i am willing to do so,
hopefully this bug solved.

I also read this suggestion for this bug:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=76553p=3

but it didnt helped me.
Also booting with pci=apci does not solve my problem.

thanks
