[Bug 298346] Re: Sticky Notes Importer Tomboy's Addin doesn't work

2010-07-09 Thread Sandy Armstrong
Timo you need to: 1) Have sticky notes from the sticky notes applet already 2) Have the Sticky Notes Import applet enabled 3) Select Tools - Import Sticky Notes from any note (not from the Search window, which it sounds to me is where you're looking) BTW, you can always get more output from

By the way, I think it's dumb that we have the menu item in the note's Tools menu, and not the Search one. It should be reversed. An upstream bug asking for that change would be welcome. -- Sticky Notes Importer Tomboy's Addin doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298346 You received

Hi Plutocrat, you seem a bit mixed up. Let me try to clarify a couple of things. Ubuntu One does not use WebDAV to sync with Tomboy. If you want to sync Tomboy with U1, please follow the instructions: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuOne/Tutorials/Notes If you really want to use WebDAV to sync

Hassanake, great news about the new feature in gtkspell 2.0.15! But I think users still want to be able to set a preferred spellcheck language in Tomboy, so we'd better leave this bug open to track that. -- No choice of language for spell checking https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116290 You

Mukesh: Let me be a bit more clear: this bug should no longer exist in Karmic, at all. This bug was fixed in Mono, and Tomboy even applied a work around (almost a year go, see the upstream bug) for users with older versions of Mono installed. If you are experiencing frequent write issues with

A Jackson, The C++ port of Tomboy (called Gnote) does not support synchronization, so this bug would not be fixed for you by switching to Gnote. You could simply build the latest stable Tomboy from source (it builds fine in Jaunty), or upgrade to Karmic, which ships a development version of
