[Bug 1901060] Re: Using gnome-control-center to configure two wired connections is unreliable

2021-04-07 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Sorry but the description is confusing, first it speaks about multiple
connection, then about order, then about USB, what's the issue exactly?
is nm-connection-editor working correctly or is it also having problems
to handle the setup in use?

[Bug 1901060] Re: Using gnome-control-center to configure two wired connections is unreliable

2021-04-07 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read "How to report bugs effectively"
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.

At a minimum, we need:

1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem.
2. The behavior you expected.
3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

Please also ensure that you include the release and flavour of Ubuntu
that you are using.

Thank you!

[Bug 1922560] Re: nautilus crashed once tab was closed.

2021-04-06 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To
help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps:

1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run:
ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash
Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug.

2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where
ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine.
Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please
send the links to us.

3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921,
reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1.

Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are
unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security
risk for yourself.

Public bug reported:

* Test case

Use the viewer to display documents, pdf mostly but also dvi, ps and
other supported types. Ensure that annotations and still loaded and that
it's possible to add new ones, that searching for text and selecting is
also working.

* Regression potential

The update has fixes around display scaling on x11 so verify that the
rendering is still correct there while unscaled and with scaling
enabled. There is also a change impacting fonts on dvi document so we
should test several of those to ensure there is no unwanted side effect.

Public bug reported:

* Impact
That's the current GNOME stable update, including a RTL bugfix and some
translation updates
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/devhelp/-/blob/gnome-3-36/NEWS

* Test case

The update is part of GNOME stable updates

Start devhelp and make sure you can still browse the available
documentation.

* Regression potential

The update include a fix for RTL locales so try with one of those to
make sure things still work. The other changes are translations but
since those are stripped out by pkgbinarymangler to be provided to
langpack they shouldn't have a visible impact after installing the
upgrade.

Thanks, I'm sending it back to new for now but it's somewhat a puzzling

is the issue specific to that folder or does it happen with any bookmark you

[Bug 1919008] Re: 'Extract here' for .zip files not working as intended.

Thanks, as said there was a regression which had been fixed in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-autoar/0.2.3-2ubuntu0.2
, which was published on the March 8th. Since security updates are auto
applied in background it probably means you the fix installer without
notice. Assuming that's what happened I'm going to take your recent
comment of a confirmation that the fix is working as intended and close
the ticket.

Yes, as it's a security update it probably got autoinstalled. Do you
still get the issue? Could you attach an example of problematic file to
the bug?

The dpkg -s command you are using is invalid, the argument is a package
name not a version, so it would be

$ dpkg -s libgnome-autoar-0-0

[Bug 1917301] [NEW] New poppler transition is ongoing

2021-03-01 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Public bug reported:

The bug is there to summarize the status of that transition for the
proposed migration report

Rebuilds are done but

- libreoffice needs to migrate and it's autopkgtest are failing, that's
fixed in the packaging Vcs and an upload is planned in the next day once
7.1.1 is out

- gdal needs to migrate which is blocked on r-cran-sf/s390x failing tests, that
has been reported to Debian now
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=961211
and a fix has been uploaded which is going to be synced next

- if the fix works r-cran-stars needs a similar change

[Bug 1915377] Re: Nautilus crashes on rename

2021-02-11 Thread Sebastien Bacher

Closing the bug then, thanks. There was a matching dev binary but you
hit a special case where the stable update failed verification and was
removed and you were left on a version that doesn't exists anymore,
that's one of the risk of opt-in for proposed updates.

2021-02-09 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for your bug report, that's not really an issue in nautilus
though, the mount should be tagged by lxc in a way that makes it
filtered out

Using 1:3.38.3-0ubuntu1 to change the reporting from automatic to never
correctly delete the autoreport configuration. The status is also
correctly reflected in the UI and still correct after a restart

Thank you for your bug report, the error is in /usr/share/nautilus-
python/extensions/clamtk-gnome.py which seems an extension you
installed, could you try removing the corresponding binary and see if
that resolves the issue?
