In realtà l'installer lo lancia (sessioninstaller) il problema è che non

Re: [Bug 958259] Re: Rhythmbox plugin installer can't find the needed mp3 plugin

2012-03-19 Thread Sergio Zanchetta
I've tried opening a terminal and installing manually the gstreamer0.10
-fluendo-mp3 package and then it works. So the problem is not about the
repository. I also made an apt-get update before trying so the system
had a local information about the packages. Why do you talk about
multiverse? gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3 is in universe afaik.

In fact it works also with gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly which would be
the selected by default when you select a mp3 radio from an installed
system.
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly is in universe as well.

[Bug 657316] [NEW] Automount of SD cards lead to nautilus and 3g network problems

2010-10-09 Thread Sergio Zanchetta
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Very weird and blocking bug.

Acer TM 6593G

Step to reproduce:
1) Insert a SD card in the internal card reader.
2) it starts to mount/unmount randomly for few times, and a grey area come up
in the middle of the screen on the foreground, covering all stuff put over it
(see screenshot). It's impossible to move away/delete/close.
3) A mount error appear Error mounting: mount: /devmmcblk0p1: can't read
superblock,
4) Then I cannot work on the desktop, like opening folder like Examples or
showing desktop right-click menu. The panel menus instead works correctly.
5) I tried to connect via 3G Internet Key to report the problem, I can
established a connection but I can't connect to a site using firefox (it stucks
on Looking up www.etc.)

The only way to make things work is to log out and in again. (then 3g

[Bug 657316] Re: Automount of SD cards lead to nautilus and 3g network problems

2010-10-09 Thread Sergio Zanchetta

** Attachment added: Screenshot-3.png

https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/657316/+attachment/1680232/+files/Screenshot-3.png

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: nautilus

  Very weird and blocking bug.

  Acer TM 6593G

  Step to reproduce:
  1) Insert a SD card in the internal card reader.
  2) it starts to mount/unmount randomly for few times, and a grey area come up
in the middle of the screen on the foreground, covering all stuff put over it
(see screenshot). It's impossible to move away/delete/close.
  3) A mount error appear Error mounting: mount: /devmmcblk0p1: can't read
superblock,
- 4) Then I cannot work on the desktop, like opening folder like Examples or
showing desktop right-click menu. The panel menus instead works correctly.
+ 4) Then I cannot work on the desktop, like opening folder like Examples,
showing desktop right-click menu or closing a nautilus window opened in
Places-Home for example. The panel menus instead work correctly, I can click
on them.
  5) I tried to connect via 3G Internet Key to report the problem, I can
established a connection but I can't connect to a site using firefox (it stucks
on Looking up www.etc.)

The only way to make things work is to log out and in again. (then 3g
  connection works again).

[Bug 657316] Re: Automount of SD cards lead to nautilus and 3g network problems

2010-10-09 Thread Sergio Zanchetta
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: nautilus

  Very weird and blocking bug.

  Acer TM 6593G

  Step to reproduce:
  1) Insert a SD card in the internal card reader.
- 2) it starts to mount/unmount randomly for few times, and a grey area come up
in the middle of the screen on the foreground, covering all stuff put over it
(see screenshot). It's impossible to move away/delete/close.
- 3) A mount error appear Error mounting: mount: /devmmcblk0p1: can't read
superblock,
- 4) Then I cannot work on the desktop, like opening folder like Examples,
showing desktop right-click menu or closing a nautilus window opened in
Places-Home for example. The panel menus instead work correctly, I can click
on them.
- 5) I tried to connect via 3G Internet Key to report the problem, I can
established a connection but I can't connect to a site using firefox (it stucks
on Looking up www.etc.)
+ 2) The action-window pop up on the screen asking what to use with the card
mounted (Open with Shotwell, Open Folder etc).
+ 3) Select Open Folder from the dropdown list.
+ 4) it starts to mount/unmount randomly for few times, and a grey area come up
in the middle of the screen on the foreground, covering all stuff put over it
(see screenshot). It's impossible to move away/delete/close.
+ 5) A mount error appear Error mounting: mount: /devmmcblk0p1: can't read
superblock,
+ 6) Then I cannot work on the desktop, like opening folder like Examples,
showing desktop right-click menu or closing a nautilus window opened in
Places-Home for example. The panel menus instead work correctly, I can click
on them.
+ 7) I tried to connect via 3G Internet Key to report the problem, I can
established a connection but I can't connect to a site using firefox (it stucks
on Looking up www.etc.)

The only way to make things work is to log out and in again. (then 3g
  connection works again).

[Bug 44082] Re: GNOME Panel icons (on right side) move apparently randomly on session start in some situations

2010-03-09 Thread Sergio Zanchetta
@Ahmad

From https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Importance :

Low: Bugs which affect functionality, but to a lesser extent than most
bugs, examples are:

* Ones that can be easily worked around
* Ones that affect unusual configurations or uncommon hardware
* A bug that has a moderate impact on a non-core application
* A cosmetic/usability issue that does not limit the functionality of an
application

Cheers.

[Bug 499999] Re: Print Request Causes a Freeze

2010-02-10 Thread Sergio Zanchetta
I found out the problem.
Two weeks ago I changed router.
The old one uses 10.0.0.x LN IPs, the new one 192.168.1.x IPs.
I have two printer, one of them is configured through IPP.

Freezes happened when it tried to contact that printer (but PC had a new
IP number).

I fixed it removing old printer from System-Administration-Print and creting
a new one.
In fact it's a bug anyway but it must be addressed to cups or other related
package.

Can someone confirm it please?

I confirm the same problem using evince and okular.
I also converted pdf file to djvu format using pdf2djvu, opened with djview4
and freezes appear when clicking on File-Print.. as well.
It seems to be a bug in the underlying printing structure, rather than
application specific.
No way to print pdf files.

Please open a terminal and report here the result of giving this two
commands:

gvfs-mount -d /dev/fd0

and

sudo gvfs-mount -d /dev/fd0

After that, attach here udev log present in /var/log/udev and the result of
these other two commands:

ls -l /dev/fd0

and

dmesg

2009/11/16 KevinM kevbe...@sky.com:
Sergio. I've just run the command a second time and the output was as
shown in #9 above.  This time no Firefox window was launched. There's
something else not right here if you haven't received the info. I've
rebooted a couple of times since my last attempt at the command (my
default OS in 9.04). If you require additional info please let me know.
When using the command there is a floppy in the drive and I can use
 floppies fine in 9.04.

Remember I need you run the command from Karmic, not from Jaunty.

I suggest you to redo it and wait more time, this procedure is a bit
long.
