Removing ~/.cache/gstreamer-1.0/ worked for me, too. I upgraded from ‘focal’ to ‘jammy’. Following Bojan's suggestion, ‘pipewiresrc’ appeared in the output of ‘gst-inspect-1.0’ after the purge.
