I tried the insructions to do a backtrace but the hardy repositories just give a 404 error. So I enabled apport. I can confirm this bug. Just installed Hardy on SDHC card of Asus eee pc. Have to launch virtual terminal to get to desktop. /var/log/messages shows: [ 685.989640] gnome-keyring-d[10185]: segfault at 0014 eip 080759c7 esp bfa29ab0 error 6 [ 686.809061] gnome-keyring-d[10250]: segfault at 0014 eip 080759c7 esp b7a40dc0 error 6 [ 712.699273] gnome-keyring-d[10371]: segfault at 0014 eip 080759c7 esp b7a06dc0 error 6 Reinstalling gnome-keyring packages and gdm makes no difference. I've also tried changing the gdmgreeter to the old gdmlogin in gdm.conf, but again no difference. Same thing when reinstalling Hardy. At the first launch I can login through gdm, but after getting to the desktop I get a message about gnome-keyring crashing.
