I can reproduce this bug with Ubuntu 12.04 and nautilus
1:3.4.2-0ubuntu8. Even worse, the desktop looks black when "solid" color
is selected, but actually it is not drawn at all. If I move a window

I am using the "Ambiance" GTK theme and was affected by this bug. I have Ubuntu
12.04.2 LTS installed on an AMD64 machine.
