I've been seeing this frequently in 9.04. (Didn't notice it in 8.10 on
the same machine.) I can reproduce it easily. Sometimes the crash occurs
as soon as the drag operation is commenced. Lately I've been noticing it
when copying files from an SMB mount. I haven't tested whether the

I've been meaning to add a follow-up comment...
I only saw the problem reproduced once, and that was several weeks ago.
I believe subsequent updates have eliminated the problem, so rejected is
an appropriate resolution.
