The affected computer i my work-computer wich there is no immediate
plans to upgrade right now. I have collegues using more or less similair
setups(Same model of headset with slightly newer hardware) that run
Natty that i could have try this out.

If you have a USB-headset sound-settings is always lost when you restart
the computer. While the headphones mostly work your microphone will not.
And you have to go into the sound-settings and switch to the correct
devices to have them work.
