[Bug 1668976] [NEW] Gimp forgets the font in the text layer
Public bug reported: I have recorded a quick video of this bug: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9A6bP1s8_o To summarise: After setting the font of the text in the text layer, the correct font and colour are not being displayed. Public bug reported: If you take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48XLvblnz7A i show there what the problem is. But i'll describe it textually here: What i do: Open any image in Gimp Select any tool and try to work with it on the image The cursor that is applying that tool is not where the mouse cursor of the Operating System is It should be noted that i'm on a dual monitor machine and that the "fake" cursor moves slower than the real one. [Bug 1108637] Re: backspace key no longer works in nautilus
Microsoft has attempted to do the same thing in the trial run of Nashville (it was the OS that was later turnt into Windows 98), they have removed "up" from the Explorer and kept only Forward and Back. This was a disaster (and anybody with any brain can understand why, if you went from a different directory there is no way to go up one level, since 'Back' takes you to a completely different point of the directory tree). So, the question becomes, if even Microsoft was intelligent enough to return this feature, why did *anybody* in the free software community decide that it was good to remove it. Even the idiots who removed buttons from the phone or made something too small to be useful as a computer and too large to be a mobile (Apple, Inc) wouldn't dream of doing something as stupid as this outside of some test audience. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1108637 Title: backspace key no longer works in nautilus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/1108637/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1245627] [NEW] Opening a directory with thousands images kills nautilus

[Bug 221347] [NEW] Undelete copies and deletes the file rather than moving
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Tried to post it as a confirmation to another bug but was told that it's a separate issue: To reproduce: Create a large file (the large one will allow you to see the difference between moving and copying+deleting) Delete it Note that the file gets moved to trash almost instantaniously. Now try to move it from the trash back to where it was. Note that the file first gets copied from trash, and only then deleted from there. It causes other problems besides the speed, for example: Create the file more than 1/2 of your free disk space. Delete it. Try to undelete it by restoring it to the same disk. [Bug 210907] [NEW] near halt when switching to 'Resources' view of System Monitor
Public bug reported: System Monitor's "Resources" tab doesn't update itself and causes computer to come to near halt (that's with dual core) even though it the reported cpu usage doesn't rise above 70%. I agree with this, having directories which aren't used creates a strong sense of something 'incomplete'. ** Changed in: gimp (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- GIMP default save directory https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/194901 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 203868] Re: Icon on file move was more useful before
It is very clear that i was making a comparison with the download indicator for *all* the packages, not the multiple small indicators. As i have been talking about the old icon since the first post in this bug it is clear that i am not asking for anything that looks "new". I think the reason why you are purposefully "misunderstanding" what i say is because you believe this to be a trivial issue, however, i have talked to a friend of mine who has switched to Apple and believe it or not his reasons are all "small", in fact we specifically talked about file move dialogues with him. On OSX the icon doesn't change, but rather the button on the bar representing the window of the move becomes a progress bar in its own right. With the change in icon (regardless of the reasoning behind it) nautilus and Ubuntu took a step backwards. P.S. As i am getting upset about the treatment of the issue i'll probably not post here for a day or two after this message. Don't want it to become a flame. -- Icon on file move was more useful before https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203868 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 203868] Re: Icon on file move was more useful before
> the new nautilus has one dialog which lists all the active copies, what icon would you use when several of those are running? When packages are downloaded from the repository there also are two types of progress, one global for everything to finish and one for each of the package file. One could apply the same idea to the icon for the file move/copy. -- Icon on file move was more useful before https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203868 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 203868] Re: Icon on file move was more useful before
To preproduce: Copy or move large amount of files from one drive to another. Notice that in the icon used in the panel for the file move/copy is the default nautilus icon (i.e. a drawer chest) I came to expect to have more detail in that icon (i.e. the progress of the move/copy), and this behaviour did exist in all Ubuntu versions prior to Alpha 6 that i've tried. -- Icon on file move was more useful before https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203868 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 203868] [NEW] Icon on file move was more useful before
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Moving (and copying) file dialog has previously displayed the progress in the place of an icon. This was very useful, currently in Alpha 6 default Nautilus icon is used, is it possible to bring the old 'progress icon' back? ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Icon on file move was more useful before https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203868 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
